A small, prestigious scheme for 9 exclusive houses in one of the prime parts of the leafy Glasgow suburb of Bearsden. The detached houses are large, luxury 5-6 bedroom homes. The site was the remainder of the grounds of a large, listed house which was used as a local council offices. The house has since been refurbished into a luxury spa hotel.
The site is small and steeply sloping and so the bespoke nature of the development meant that we needed 9 house types for the 9 houses. We also utilised split levels and large terraces to make the most of the levels within the site.
The pallette of materials is restrained and in keeping with the area, and the interiors are all high spec utilising open-plan kitchen/dining rooms and large windows and patio doors to the rear to maximise daylight as is expected in modern houses.
